I'm working on restoring my 70 RR heater a/c box. I have it separated and I'm ready to remove the core. The shop manual says to remove the four screws that attach the tubes to the box and remove the tubes. This has to happen before the core can come out. My questions are is this a slip fit with o-rings? ( I don't see any solder but thought that was odd) I puuled on it some but no luck yet. Is there a trick? any help would be great. Thanks

Yes, there are o-rings. You'll want to replace them.

Thanks,

I got it apart tonight. Where can I get the o-rings?

Whats your address? I'll put a couple in the mail tomorrow.

If you buy them from a place like Grainger you'll have to buy a bag of 100 min I think.

I'm only gonna be here at the shop till about midnight EST.
