Left the j/y with a lot of stuff for about $180. Really nice all aluminum tool box. This thing looks like its brand new. No dents and hardly a scratch anywhere; really nice grill surround, no dents or anything thing; frame mounted trailer hitch; really nice driverside tailight assembly. Every truck I found had a nice one on the driverside and the passenger side was destroyd. Whats the deal with that? Also got a brand new fan clutch for only $5; new taglight, and all of the chrome trim for the drip molding; weather stripping for drivers door. Overall, a good day. Now I need to find me a good sliding rear window where the latch isnt broken, and I may pull a lay in bed liner until I can get around to rolling/spraying one.

you got the jy truck bug now...LOL!

great score on everything...toll ox runs 200+ so that was a good score.

driver can see the driver side rear when backing up..pass side not so much. that why.

Roe..remember to always lay the fan clutch face down to keep them from leaking fluid out the seal...that's what I have always been told and the way they are boxwd and stacked.

are those long bed hand rails?? nice.

I got a replacement lock for the slider at the dealer...I go look to see if it is still on the slider..I removed it for a solid rear glass.

it is a plastic piece that screws on and was cheap at the dealer.IIRC

Yeah, I have to agree that I've got the bug.

Ha, I didn't even think about visibility. We are going to have to teach drivers to be more careful so that I can find a good passenger side tail light assembly.

I just had to run to the garage and make sure I had the clutch laying face down. I did.

I forgot about the rails. They are from the same truck as the box. I think they are short bed rails, they were just on the long bed after the box. They are right at 48" from end to end.

And I'll look into the slider lock. If I don't find one at the j/y today then I'll swing by the dealer.

'sometimes you're the bug..sometimes you're windshield'

better to have the bug than be the bug sometimes.

Well, I found the latches at the j/y but I got home and wouldn't you know it...My windows dont have the screw on ones, they were glued on or something. So can I pull the sliding glass from some of those other vehicles? Mostly newer model truck that I saw. I'll take some measurents of the glass pieces to reference against when I go back to the yard. If the newer models dont work, I think there were a couple of mid-late 80's truck that might have them still.

Heck, there were plenty of nice 1 piece rear windows there. Maybe I'll pull one of them, and just have one of the mobile glass installers come by and install it and replace the one for my front glass too.
