I have a clunk/thud that you can feel in the floorboards on my truck when you accelerate after stopping or slowing close to a stop. It does it once, then won't do it again until you stop again. It can be felt on the passenger side, but it seems to originate more on the drivers side.

I knew the brake caliper on the driver's front was sticking, so I pulled that apart and installed new hardware and greased the slides but it is still doing it.

Any ideas? I can't find any thing that seems loose in the suspension.

I just had that same noise and it turned out to be the front carrier gears and axles failed. I had to have the whole theing replaced...

Did yours do it all the time or intermittently?

Nope.

Drove it some more over lunch today. Now it isn't doing it. Maybe it was actually the caliper and just had to get settled in with the new hardware.

I didn't note it in the original post, but being in or out of 4x4 doesn't seem to make any difference.
