I'm getting ready to install the side stripes on a '71 R/T and was wondering how far up from the bodyline they go. I plan to use the door handle opening as a reference point. Does the stripe go to the bottom of the opening or is it level with the bottom edge of the handle itself? A close-up pic or some dimensions would be helpful.
TIA,
Dallas

If you bought good quality stripes, they should be cut out for the handle making them fit only one way. There should be roughly 3/16 to a 1/4 gap around the handle. The bottom of the stripes run parallel to the mid-body line.

I didn't buy these, they were provided by the owner. They are cut out for the handle but not enough for a gap around the outside like you described. These have enough material to lap into the handle opening. Does the bottom of the stripe line up with the bottom edge of the door handle?
Thanks for your reply,
