It would be best if you have ALL the information up front (like a lot of other races do) with everything spelled out. That way there is less chance of someone getting mad and MMW losing business because they would already know how things will be handled if (for example) rain does occur. It all comes back to better the communication.

Speaking of better communication, the MonsterMopar.com site seems to have more misinformation, than information....that site needs a thorough overhaul, they should delete most of that stuff and start over to prevent mix-ups...JMO.

Better to ask now then it is 10 months after the fact. Then it never becomes an issue.

I hold no grudge against anyone, after all, I have raced at Edgewater all of these years. I just want to know what the rules are before I throw down my paltry $100.

Monster Mopar Indy Rainout Info

« on: July 23, 2013, 09:01:23 PM »

Quote

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on here for a while.

Between the rain out, working way to much, Carlisle, and now my wife has been dealing with a reoccurring eye infection that has tied up my nights and weekends.

What I have decided to with the Saturday rainout is offer a free Saturday entry to the 2014 Indy race.

We keep tech cards separated by race event so it's easy to track on my end.

Spread the word. unqoute

Its a legit Question for this event ,just as above was posted for Indy .I had 2 entrys

ROSSIO or Challenger1320
Since you guys are familiar with kilkare,
Monster Mopar Attendee's probably won't get to park in the pits until Saturday morning? Park Thursday evening and pay for Thursday test n tune and Friday's lites out entry fees plus Monster Mopar entry?

How do you think this will shake out?

It rains you lose your money to the Joshs fund a event charity.

If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

He still has to pay the track regardless.... Do you get your money back from any other races you attend if it rains??

YES. Rain-checks are issued.
With that said there are still costs to a race like Josh or others put on. If food, entertainment, refreshments, or track rentals are involved those costs should be deducted and cash refunds given on the way out the gate.

Sure do... thats the thing here... the promoter is
taking a risk and if it rains out the whole weekend
he will loose his a$$... but that is a issue that the
promoter has to deal with.. if its good weather and
the event goes off with no issues he MAKES MONEY

At one of our local tracks, if eliminations begin then it rains, you get a rain check for the car. You have to buy a spectator pass to get back in. Not every place has the same policies.
Josh gave a discount to the people that were rained out of one days events. I thought that was more than fair????
I have a limited race budget like several other people. I am also struggling to get enough done so I can travel several hundred miles to Josh's event.
Everyone has a right to an opinion, but several people cry foul before they even know any facts.
I'll be supporting Monster Mopar.

I think josh has been fair with the discount for racers that where at Indy last yr.
If anyone is on the fence with showing up, I would give it a shot.
we have been to the last two shows at Indy and had a great time rain and all
Norwalk conflicts with another race or we would have been there too.
