Does anyone make a reasonabley priced engine storage cradle with wheels for small block mopar? The universal one I had for my old small motor was a piece of junk. The motor did not fit right.I'd like to find one made for a small block mopar.I'm getting ready for my project and engine rebuild. Think it will easier to be able to move moor out of the way, instead of leaving it on engine hoist in the way.

just wrap the mill in searan wrap, and hammer a couple nails. Do you have wood lying around? Home Depot has scraps that are cheap.

I used this for all kinds of builds.

Handles big blocks with no problems.

Less than 1/2 hr work.

here,

They work good for Hemi-6's too (I have had a variety of engines on this same sort of base..works great for a low buck sort of thing.)

I built the same type of cradle too. Works well for both BB and SB. The only difference is that I had access to 2 x 8" rectangular aluminum section, which I welded togeter and added wheels.

buy one of these from Harbor Freight and add your rails. You can buy a 1000 lb capacity wood one for around $15-20. This one lists for $30

I was thinking of using that Harber Frieght one and putting my K frame and suspension together on it,and small block, and sliding the whole thing under the Cuda when i install it.

The wooden ones work great, and I hope to build a couple more, but my only mistake was not gluing AND screwing.......they loosened up, over time. No biggee, I just like to do things right the first time........they are easy to make, and fairly cheap.

If your gonna use a wood dolley...( anyone ever noticed the metal frames with wheels sitting behind fast food restraunts that the buns come in on?) I have a about four of those covered with 2x12s from over the years... did I say that?

Anyway if I was gonna spend some $$ on a storage dolly, I would recomend buying a engine stand if you don't already have one. Might be real handy if you ever wanted to do some engine work. And you will someday.

I have two of them and could use another.

I currently have my 360/727 sitting on one of those dollys. Make sure you lube the wheels first as the tend to be a bit dry and won't roll as well. I used lithium grease and have no problem moving it when it needs to be moved.
