i have my road runner on the rotisserie. i want to install sub frame connectors. i would prefer the ones from US car tool that are welded to the floor. i see the directions say the car has to be on the ground w/ the suspension in it. well that isn't an option right now and i see on their web-site they are putting a set in a car on a rotisserie with the car on its side. does anyone have experience with doing this or any opinions on a bolt in frame connector?

Try putting jack stands under the frame rails in the right places just so the weight is in the correct places.

i've put 2 sets on 2 b-bodies (68 coronet and a 69 rr). both times the cars were on my whirly-jig rotisserie. never had any problems with body gaps or anything else. a lot of guys will say that's not the correct way, but as long as you have a good solid unibody and a good rotisserie you won't have any problems.i will add, they were both post cars so that may have helped keep the body in line.the pictures that were on us car tools website are actually of me installing them on a 68 coronet while on it's side on my rotisserie.

Exactly. Sit the car down on jack stands on the frame where the suspension would normally be. If you have a frame diagram you can verify all dimensions from a level point are correct. Tack the sub frames in place, then roll the car over and finish weld them and make it look good.

I went with the US Car Tool subframe connectors on my 69 Roadrunner converible. My body/paint guy said they were a nice product to work with.
