Chrysler used to offer a set of locks to go through your existing factory pins just for that reason. I have a set in the box somewhere. I've posted pics of them before.
Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

I remember my next door neighbor had a "Chapman" lock setup installed on his 442 back in 1981/82, it was on his hoodpin setup, and on the inside under the dash...it's been a long time since I've heard that name LOL
