I was curious what electric fan would install on stock radiator. Will the ones with the poke through hold down work on a stock radiator? I am looking for something that I don't have to make brackets. Any suggestions are appreciated .

One for a Chevy HHR. Thin, draw low amps, built in shroud.

Amps in a electric motor is the HP(more HP more amp
draw).. look for a fan that has the outer ring around
the blades.. thats called a spill ring.. with it makes
for a more efficient fan... the HHR fan is what I run
on my Rampage because it has a shroud that fit my rad
and is a good fan... so far on the street its been great

This..............cools my big block in the summer heat. Plus the fans that go through the radiator do more damage(to the fins)than good............

Chevy HHR fan on mine as well, and it works great.... but it does pull quite a bit of amps. If I recall correctly it takes 35-38 amps to get the fan moving and 15-18 amps once its on.

That's for the input. Does anyone have a picture. I tried to look up on line but cant find one. I am trying to see how it would attach.. Looks like the HHR one is the way to go..

If you're using a stock shroud with the radiator it's easy. Make 2 straps from 1/2"X.060" steel the width of the radator. They will go across the radiator and be held on with the fan shroud bolts. Bolt the fan to these straps. Hidden from view and inside the stock shroud.
