I have been following the build of this car from the beginning and I am shocked as I am sure you are. Glad to hear you are ok and the car is repairable but god what a thing to happen to such a beautiful car and all of the work that has gone into it. Keep your chin up as it can only get better.

What a sad sight. Thankfully no injuries to you physically, just your spirits are knocked down which can be overcome. Hang in there and keep your chin up high and remember tomorrow is a new day!

So sorry to see this. You put your heart and soul into this car and then have this happen, it hurts. I had a minor fire, and know a little bit about how big a mess it is. Good luck on getting it back together. I really can't wait to see a post on your first track outing! It wouldn't hurt to check the front rubber, i lost a set of fronts to smoke damage believe it or not. Ruined the rubber!

I have followed the build, nothing to add post wise here, just keeping an eye on your ride. GF thought I got more bad news on the family front when I saw the first pic. Chin dropped about a foot.
Back at it I guess, these silly cars of ours are never done are they.

Like some of the others I was expecting a nice burn out pic or some thing. Then my heart sank when I saw that. I thought I got depressed every time my trans went south but that's nothing compared to what I imagine you must be going through

I'm glad every one is OK but OMG after all you've done to have that happen

Through all the heights and lows you faced during your build you shared lots of good interesting info that most of us enjoyed. So sorry to see this happen to what ended up one wild, beautiful, street strip machine. Its easy to sit here and say go Jimmy go but remember one thing. You already build the perfect car so you have the blueprint to do it again. Goodluck and please keep us posted.

Word's cannot describe just how sick I feel about the car and how sad I am for you, but the only good thing out of all this is,,you are ok.

Wow that is really terrible to see .

I'm still wondering what caused the fire though? Backfires usually give a temporary fireball, what kept it going? Did the explosion take out any fuel lines? Maybe ripped the fuel rails off the injectors??
