Hi Looking for details on the stripe that's painted on the hood-textured/smooth, flat/gloss/semi-gloss/semi-flat? Thanks

While outside on the turnpike They got this new hit tune Where thrills become as cheap as gas And gas as cheap as thrills

What year? The actual paint is a textured orginosol and cand be purchased from Frank Badalson or Year One

I'm willing to be it is the same lightly textured organisol as what they used for the lower black out treatment on the rocker areas on the GTX. Granted, ours is still the original lower black paint but it really does not feel as rough as what the organisol does for my tail light panel on my 69 Charger. Possibly could have lost some of its texture through the years of being washed and such though.

the stripe that's painted on the hood-

What 'stripe'???

Hood depression pinstripe, or transverse???

Neither are paint on a '71 GTX...

I'll stand by my original statement...

No STRIPE was painted...

AG hood black-out ain't no 'stripe'...

Even the illustration is worded 'paint'...

Perhaps the OP is referring to the AG paint area as a stripe? http://youtu.be/B65mtE2TN1w

You know, he didn't say AG, maybe he's talking about something else. While were talking about it, some Road Runners didn't have any paint behind the AG, did that hold true for a GTX?

I know the car in question, it's an Air Grabber hood.

He's asking about the blackout behind the A/G.

Dayclona's attachment shows what he's asking about.

Yes, The original question could have been asked a little differently and with more car detail so it was easier to understand what he was looking for.

You can tell it's winter on Moparts.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol
