I've had four, my guess about 4,200. Seems like title weight was ~ 3,900?

Shipping weight listed in the Standard Catalog of 4x4's for a base 1985 4x4 was 4315 lbs. This is data from Chrysler.
I don't think shipping weight includes fuel, oil, etc. So weight going down the road will be higher. These figures are useful for comparison purposes though.

my 85 2x stepside 318/nv4500/10bolt rear weighes 4382 +/- with me and 6 bags of trash in the bed every weekend at the dump going over the new scales.
my 88-440truck 440/727/8 3/4 weighes 3800 +/- with me 10 gallons fuel.
my 79 RC 4x4 6" lift 17/40/15 ground hawgs on 12" steel rims d44/d60 weighed in around 4800-5000 trail ready.
a stock 2x RC I would guess close to 4200-4500 depending on how loaded or striped it is.

Shipping weight includes all fluid at correct levels with a couple gal of gas. But to a base model you have to add any options added to the base model, like AC or power steering. The extra stuff probably add up to the difference between a 4x4 and a 2x4. I'm guessing 4250 is going to be close. Gene

You could be right on how shipping weight is calculated. On several occasions, I've looked up shipping weight and then weighed an actual vehicle. In every instance, the actual weight has been at least 100 to 400 lbs. heavier than the shipping weight. Of course, if shipping weight only includes a couple of gallons of gas, a full tank of gas could add 75 to 150+ lbs. to the vehicle's weight.
For some reason, which I do not understand, the 1/2 ton pick-up trucks are often lighter than the Ramchargers.

"3hundred" was very close (4200). Drove it on a grain elevator scale. It was 4300 on the nose without me in it.

Short box pickups don't have all the glass Ramchargers have, especially the later model ones. Glass is heavier then sheet metal and requires more metal structure to hold it in place. Gene
Good point. Strangely, the pickups had a 115 inch wheelbase compared to 108 for the Ramcharger & Trail Duster models.
