I do not believe so. There was no rear (trans) mount until 1969 so it really depends on what bellhousing you use, need more info on what drivetrain combo you are using.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Hello Jimmy. I'm a little confused on the bell mount issue (truck newbie). I did have another 65 D100 years ago that I never got running & I bought a 727 crossmember from a 66 in a JY that bolted in that 65 perfectly & if going with that then the stick bell mounts are unused. I'd like to go BB with one of the "262" monstrous cast iron bells/172 tooth flywheel & a granny 3 or 4 speed but I understand they are rare/pricey. Was curious about the later SB side of the block mtr mounts as I have a set if I have to settle for SB/727 for now. I do have a set of the 65 BB block mtr mounts & there's a 262 bell on ebay for an arm & a leg & that leaves the trans. too many gaps in my knowledge here. EDIT how hard are those 172T 'wheels to come by?

My 63 d100 was slant six with an np435. It used the bellhousing crossmember mounts.

When I went 440/727, I just used a rear crossmember from an auto truck. I cut out the crossmember at the bellhousing, and used factory connectors.

So in my experience, stick trucks had the mounts at the bellhousing, and the tail of the trans just flopped in the wind.

Auto trucks had a mount at the tailshaft.

I did end up using my /6 motor mounts for the BB swap.

I have seen the pancake style mounts used though, I have never done it like that myself

Robert if you need me to take pics of the mounts I have my W100 in the shop and it is the same as your d series. Shoot me a PM to remind me if you need illustration.

with more thought I think I want exactly what I want to swap in there the first time when I jerk the /6-3 speed outa there. I want the granny first gear 4 sp for my 451 BB. I do have the correct bb mtr mts. What bell/'wheel/trans do I start searching for? Thank you for your time. EDIT there is a "262" BB bell, the heavy cast iron beast on eBay for 385 buy it now which seems a bit exorbitant & it is listed as a 4 sp bell. I HAD one of those & it came with a 3 speed trans in a pile of parts that came with the /6 truck the exact same situation that I am wanting to finish/duplicate now except that I want a granny 4 sp
