OK, guys I have a 67 dart and it has a 340 in it thats brand new. I bought the motor with a brand new 6 pack set up on it and have decided to go with a 4 abrrel and carb. The motor is stock, except for a little more thumpy cam, not much. This is going to be a driver, and is a 4 speed. I want a reliable carb and 4 barrel manifold.?????? which one is best.

Second. I am also working on my 67 Power wagon of the same color as the dart, Q5. It has a 318 LA and the carb leaks. Am I better off going with a 4 barrel manifold and new carb or just finding a new barb. Power is not what I am chasing with this one. Its also going to be driven a lot.

Looking for suggestion and part numbers from you pros. This P.W carb leaks and we have tried to fix it with no success. The P.W is also a 4 speed.

Dave

I would put an LD340 intake on the Dart. Old school manifold but is tough to beat even with the new manifolds out there.

Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

LD340 and big AVS on the dart
LD340 or the smaller LD4B version on the 318 truck with the small AVS (assuming the PW will be worked hard, towing/hauling). If the PW will not be doing hard work, a 318 2 bbl setup would work fine. If you wanted a little extra hp with some mpg sacrafice you could install a 360 2bbl intake and carb on the 318.
