An option would be to toss the banjo fitting that makes you bring the line in from the rear & use a barb fitting that screws into the carb & points out sideways. You'd likely have to shorten the hard line in the pic then just run the neoprene line you have up to the barb pointing out to the side rather than at the rear as before. That's what I have on my Eddy 1406

He did not mention it, but the OP may want to retain his original air filter housing base and there might be a conflict with it and a straight fuel barb fitting.

You take the original fitting off and screw the NPT to AN fitting into the pump body in its place.

This thread brings up a sore point with me. You need one lousy AN fitting or adapter and the only way to find these darn things are online so the fitting costs 4 bucks and they whack you 5 bucks for shipping. Arghhh.
I even have an airport near me with maintenance facilities and they tell me I am S.O.L.
You might get lucky at Tractor Supply or something similar locally. More common [steel] JIC fittings, used on tractor hydraulics, interchange with AN thread and flare. For instance, 3/8" JIC = -6AN.

AN= Air Corps Navy, the reverse flare is an automotive standard and thusly not the same or used on an aircraft. Also, aircraft grade are a better class of fit than the cheaper automotive grade. If you want the real thing goto http://www.gen-aircraft-hardware.com/ and the prices are about the same as the retailers. Tim

I'll just order the fitting along with the braided line kit and the carb fitting and filter.
That's why I was trying to get this all figured out first so I could order everything I need all at once.
I would buy the carb. AN adapter fitting for the AN male thread and the order a 45 or 90 degree AN female fitting for the hose, see if you want a straight AN female fitting on the other end of the AN hose to attch to the pump or use NPT adapter fitting to a 45 or 90 degree adapter for that end or not. If you buy female ends with 45 or 90 ends on them make sure and buy sweep fittings instead of elbow fittings BTW, I would buy the teflon lined hose,TFE, instaed of the neopreme lined hose. If you can get Viton lined fuel hose that will work also, make double sure the AN fittings and hoses are the same application, don't try and mix TFE fittings with neopreme or viton hose or vise a versus
