Fern OP member F Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 103 M.A.	Has anyone removed the ashtray from a 71 and later console and cut out the back to replicate it to look like a 70? Not too sure if its possible and how the inside will look. Can someone please post an up close pict of the opening. Thanks

screamindriver master Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 7,196 Harrisburg, Pa.	It's not just a matter of cutting the top hole bigger...The bottom section has ribs in it to hold the seatbelts within reach when they're installed...

Thanks, I wasn't sure if they used all the same bottom section and only the top was different.
