I'm tired of counting on chassis shops to get small jobs done. Ideas on which tools buy to maintain race car. I'm buying a Tig welder, tube bender, bead roller, shear metal brake, plasma cutter, metal band saw, slip roller and tube notcher. I have most of the hand tools.

If your buying all that you might as well buy a set of scales... by the way.. I'm looking for a new dad.. LOL EDIT I have all that stuff but just did sell my tubing bender plus I have a mill and a lathe... so thats a couple more things to think about...also I have a belt sander and a oscillating drum sander to finish off tube joints.. if your gonna bend tubes you need a rotating indicator that clamps on the tube

Building a 6000' shop. No big wallet, but I have worked very hard and want to slow down and enjoy it before it is to late.
I hear ya.. I worked at Chrysler(engineering) for 35 years and before I went in the service I worked at the GM tech center... I bought my stuff over the years so I could have something decent in my later years
