What is the correct original finish for the starter/flywheel dust seal? This is it here.

How about the lower inspection cover? Engine color?

Thanks,
Chad

They were natural and on the engine when it was painted so you will have natural overspray that would occur when trying to get engine coverage. Too many people intentional overspray them and get to much coverage. They starter was not installed so their is some overspray in the bell housing and on the flywheel through the opening. The area behind the pan sump general had little overspray since it was right up against it so not much paint drifted in. As a result the back of the pan was left raw as well and would rust. I painted my pan engine color and the covers as close natural as I could be I installed the everything so it would have rust protection, not correct but close. I didn't have a good starter seal on hand when I painted mine so I have to go back and recreate that part of it. You should be able to get the idea from these pictures, if I am incorrect someone will straighten me out.

Good luck!

To clarify "natural color", the inspection cover was a natural color and the starter seal was a light galvanize I believe.

My pictures were too big to load but maybe some one else will post some pictures.
