I want to get a feel and see what everyone likes as far as Mopar trucks are concerned? And I write Mopar because I am including the Fargo and Plymouth brand as well. I'd have to say my favorite truck would be a 78 Dodge Lil' Red Express but, on the other hand for a more daily driver friendly vehicle I would like a Warlock too because it is less flashy and be more within my budget. Anyways, I have other ones but, those are my top two picks. Interested to see what everyone likes.

While I really like my 84 440 truck, and will like my 83 a whole lot more than i do now when I get it done, my top of the wish list truck is a 55 dodge. Next on the list is an a700 on a late ctd chassis with a car hauler bed. No real favorites I like em all!
84 D150 440/727 79 /6 swb D150 1964 A100 window van. Just because it has spark plug tubes doesn't mean it's a Hemi.
If ya haven't been there, ya just wouldn't understand.

My favorite truck I have owned was a(then)brand new 1993 Dakota Sport, 318 Magnum, A518 trans, with a 3.90 sure grip gear. Truck was a reg cab 2WD shortbed, all black with bucket seats. That truck was awesome! For being all stock except for a Mopar Performance engine controller I put in, it was faaaast!!! It was faster than the 1998 Dakota 5.9 R/T I bought a few years later! Shoulda never sold it.

I currently own a 1st Gen (have had 3), a 2nd Gen (had 2 Cummins and now have a 360 Off-Road), and a 3rd Gen hemi. It's a tough call on my '07 hemi because it has power to burn, awesome fuel mileage, and is super quiet, but, I have to pick my '01 2Gen as the King. It drives so nice, the 360 Magnum makes all the right sounds, the cab is smartly laid out, huge, quiet and rattle free after 190,000 miles. My diesels were great in their own way but the noise and not-as-great-as-everyone-says fuel mileage sucked. A big deal to me also is when the 2Gen was released it caught Ford and Blunder Motors with their pants down big time. It took Ford 6 years to answer the call with the superduty. And gm? well, they never did make a truck did they? Do they now? A gm is still refered to as an "el camino". Put an ATV in the back of one and the axle heads right for the frame and you'll have to re-build the camaro rear-end. All gm had going for them was their ride and Ford and Dodge have since bettered them several years ago. Sorry to go on a bit of a rant there, but I caught a lot of flack for being a Mopar Guy driving my Mother's '70 Charger to school while everyone else thought an '90 gm truck with 5 spokes and blue bottles was all that existed. I followed the 2Gen development right from the Lil Red show truck to all the spy photos in Motor Trend. Dodge is starting to rule the road around here and it's nice to see, thanks to the 2Gen.

My personal opinion is that the 72-80 trucks are some of the best trucks ever produced, and they're plenty attractive, too. Out of them all, I always gravitate toward the crew cab duallies, but they didn't come out until 78, so I only have three years to choose from. Four doors, six wheels, and an eight foot bed - just obnoxiously huge. Now that's a truck. Here's my ultra-ugly crew cab, Big Nasty as I call it.
OIF V and OEF X veteran and proud of it!

I'd prefer most of the 50s truck body style, I've owned a 50, a 52, a 54, and a 58 but probably like the style of the 57 or the 58-60 better right now, (next week a different year may be more appealing) but put mine on a newer chassis with a modern drive train. Those 30s and 40s Dodge trucks look pretty good as well......... I have owned so many Dodge trucks between the 50 and the current 93 Dakota, choosing one would be real tough. I also have put some miles on my son's 94-99, and my sisters 01, so any of those would work too. I personally have not driven anything newer that the 01, but i suspect the newer one would be OK as well. Do I have Dodge truck AAD? Gene
