Water temp gauge I take it. The answer is no. If you want engine temp, witch I think you do. You need it closer to the motor.
Drill and tap the water pump at a convenient location. You will get a Very delayed and Inaccurate reading where your showing it will be now.
Edit, just saw the pic of the pump, my answer is the same. The water in the rad will take the shortest Path across at its entry starting at its top entry point. At that lower corner in the petcock a temp sending unit wont ever see correct temps.

Only if this is a second gauge where you would want to know how well your radiator is working.
Probably not what you had in mind. So No.

Get the temp at the engine OR at the top hose close to the engine... the bottom hose is the suction side of the pump... in other words its the inlet to the engine EDIT Even if you wanted to monitor the radiator temp that would be a BAD place... its not in the flow and sitting in a dead place

not eally wanting to drill on a 500 dollar water pump need to see about a fitting in the line or the block adapters which ever I get mayby
I posted that before I saw your electric pump. I was meaning the WP housing on the block. Whats your water manifold setup like at the block, find a spot there or put in on the outlet side of it in a hose type connecter.

does anyone make a connector that can go inline on a an line type hose?
You would want a T connector with AN, AN and the third being a female pipe connector

Great place if ya wanna know how well your chiller works We used a separate sensor on the motor as I do with the B1.
