440newport master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 4,588 St. John's Newfoundland	It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure van axles are at least a couple of inches wider than truck rears. Also the diff is usually offset to the passenger side. Or at least the Dana's are? The 9.25 HD is really no better than a normal 9.25. The only difference are the 8 lugs and different wheel bearings. If you're lowering this truck to the weeds why run 3/4 ton stuff anyway?

76dodgeboy OP master Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 8,064 Iowa	Because I can. The bolt pattern and Wide range of gear ratios is why I want the 8lug 9.25 instead of a D60 where 3.54 is my limit. Yeah I could run a D71 but that's Only if the 9.25 can't be found. I wonder how offset they are? Narrow the one side and make it centered?
