Is the diameter/design of the 3 spoke p/s pulley (approx. 6 3/4")on a Federal (round neck) power steering pump the same for a big block and small block? Thanks for any tips

The pump is the same, the pulley varied on some, but not all applications.

My experience is they are offset different... but there are different applications, so maybe some are the same

I do not know much about p/s pulley specifics, but based on the 70-71 parts book (as an example) I am thinking no. I don't see any part# that fits both SB and BB.

In my opinion the federal pump should be the same, the brackets and pulleys can be different small block verses big block.
Here's a shot of a pair I have, one on left is from a 340 TA motor...federal pump with brackets and cooler, and the one to the right is a federal pump with the hemi bracket.
Both pumps appear the same, nipple in same spot, etc

Hi Terry, could you post a close up pic of the two bolt head markings that retain the rear brackets to the notched areas of those pumps.

Here is the bolt holding the ps cooler, original also I believe.
Is much same as a horn bracket bolt with the large washer... I would assume because of the slot in the cooler bracket arm.
