I talked to the owner of Towel City. He was very nice and easy to talk to guy. I asked him if I could run his tires on a car that would go 150 in the quarter. He said no way, they are not made for that kind of speed.
The Radir 12 inch slick is what Mike Koleman ran into the nines. He could not run them at drag week, because the tire width limit for the class he ran is 10 inches. When I inquired with Radir about 10 inch slicks, they were out of stock and it could be months before they had more. so I bought a set of set 10 inch Hurst's

If either of you guys want a set of those slicks, I have new ones..They do have two grooves though..Let me know...I am taking the car in a different direction..

I get all my tires mounted at Towel City...it's about 5mins from my house

The Hursts are available in different hardnesses.

i believe all of hurst's tires are recaps, so it would be possible to use different compounds.
