Using ether for quick starts. Some one here said it is like dumping sand down the carb!

i've used it many times.
no harm done.

uuuum , it's for starting an engine so I can't see how it's like SAND ???

some big rigs have an either start system on board. worked at a big truck dealership for 9 yeras. never heard anything bad about the ocassional use.

use it as a AIR ENRICHINER,,, not like pouring gas down the hole.......MODERATION is the key..

I remember that liquid sand post & it scared me a bit because I use that stuff all the time.

I washes away the cylinder lubrication if used excessively. Can you spell paranoid?

I've used it on subborn lawn mowers and weed wackers. Never found it necessary on my Barracuda

WD-40 can be used as a starting fluid and won't cause the hammering that ether does.
