I was at the no-prep night at Thunder Valley when Tina Turtled her truck. Watched almost all the cars run. The Pontiac is awsome but he didn't make a pass. If he ever figures that thing out it may be a contender. Was kinda funny because the film crew was there and they where trying to take shots of everything. As far as speed, those that finally got a clean pass (very few) where all in the 4's for the 1/8th. Problem was in the first 2 hours only three cars got down the track and they all had major traction problems. They finally had to semi-prep the track to get some cars down. I got lots of pix but very little racing action. I recognize some of the spots where these guys have done test and tune and the cops would have them in jail if they caught them. They are pretty much known street race sites. Nice road surfaces.

they can't put them in jail unless they catch them in the act.

The cops are pretty tough on street racers here when they catch them. Lots of high visibility street wrecks with casualties.

Cudajon, were you there after dark? There is video posted of Chief running the Goat, looked like the same night.

Looks like it's pretty stout to me.

watch the show again, he didn't admit to anything from what i seen the cop walked up and seen the burnout spot and assumed he did a burnout. Doc said he was going to make a test hit and never pulled it out of the trailer.

Car was in trailer when they rolled up...........can't PROVE anything, much less loud muffs. Now the cop called Doc by name, so they know him and you KNOW they have seen the show........but still, didn't SEE Doc do anything

Laws vary, but most any place they have to see you do something before they can ticket you. Around here, if you get caught at a street race, they can ticket you for hindering traffic flow and unlawful assy. That's about it, unless they catch you in the act. If they catch the car off the trailer, they will write you a list of equipment violations. That's the main reason the car should stay ON the trailer until you get ready to race it, and also the reason most SERIOUS street race cars are always trailered. Back when I did that sort of stuff, I NEVER drove my car to a race. That is just asking for serious fines

They came right out and said the races are legal as they are racing on closed roads so that's not an issue. Now as far as testing when I street raced years ago and was out making a test hit there is no way I would have had time to see cops coming, stop, lower the trailer door, load the car in the trailer, get out of the car, and get out of the trailer and get the door closed. Just sayin. Love the show.

We all KNOW the races are in a controlled environment........that's not an issue, but I was told by more than one of the guys, that when they go out for "test hits", they are on their own

So we have film crews filming e legal activities and racers loading car trailers at world record speeds. Just sayin our cops move a little faster here in Pennsylvania.

To bad the cops don't have any proof of what happened......oh wait, it's on film.

kinda like Moonshiners, camera crews filming the illegal activity, and the location of such.

Some of you guys act like this is all "real time" footage. Ever hear of "editing"..........lol!! They piece it together to add the drama.

Plus, if you are making a test run and have a spotter or two, which ANY smart street racer does, you would have plenty of time to get the car on or in the trailer before the cops roll up. You usually pick a place that has limited side roads and post lookouts a few miles away in either direction.
