Hey guys,

I am looking at ordering a housing for my Dakota, replacing the damaged 8-3/4 i have now.

I found a company called Mopar Maddness and they have some decent pricing. They have an excellent eBay history, and when I spoke with them on the phone I got good information, and they didn't mind answering my newb questions.

Just wanted to check ans see if anyone here has heard of them, they have been around for about 10 years or so is what I'm understanding.

They (Mopar Madness) are for real, I've known about them for years and years, more like 20. Like so many Mopar fiends, they can be a bit cranky. I've never heard even a suggestion of anything hinky about their dealing. So, IMHO go for it.

They have actually been around since the late 80s early 90s. John Wolfe used to be the sole owner, but about 10 years ago tried selling the business only to find he couldn't stay away from it and ended up taking on a partner. They are as described, knowledgable, mostly friendly, occasionally cranky. They have been racing mopars for as long as I can remember. I have bought some parts from them on occasion and they did build a set of heads for me back in the '90s. Reasonable prices, good service, and usually willing to spend time with most folks discussing mopars.

Great news! I'm glad to see that they are getting good reviews.

I just wanted to check, the last thing I need is to have a vendor experience like a certain other Mopar parts supplier.

I know them. Good people that have been into Mopars for years. They build a lot of rear ends and motors for people around here.

I met them last year at one of the shows here in town. They had merchandise on the table that appeared to be good quality. They had EQ magnum iron heads for a better price than I paid a year before for a pair. I wish I had known of them when I was restoring my car. Murphy at work again.

I purchased a 8 3/4" center section from them with an Eaton Truetrac differential and yes, the pricing was good as well as the advice. Nothing but good to say about them -- I would buy again if I had to.

I have heard good things about the Dr. Diff as well. I haven't purchased anything from there, but friends have with excellent results.

I am buying my axles from Dr Diff. I checked with him on a housing, but he didn't have one that would fit my build budget.

So the housing will come from Mopar Maddness, and the axles from Dr. Diff.
