I'll stop for now, but you get the idea of the variety. As you can see, it's not always as easy as some people make it out to be, as what is, and what isn't correct for a restoration.

I agree 100% Paul, and as you can see, NONE of the available reproductions out there match those original samples close enough to call them "O.E.", IMO anyway.

FWIW I have a multiple PCV hoses from original 340's that look just like your first example above (KV). I also bought an NOS one and it looks just as faded as the used originals.

Found these fuel filter shorties some time back at a Mopar Parts Supplier inventory where they had sat since the 70's.

Are you completly sure about that? I'm having issues trying to enlarge the photo and remain clear but the lettering does not seem to match that of samples I've seen from early 70's production.

Well they were close enough for Dave from ECS as they are shown here on his site. http://www.ecsautomotive.com/productdesc.php?co=c&id=60
Dave purchased them from me several years ago.
Here's a picture of one of some singles I have left.

I'll chalk it up to a blurry image on the first photo, but certainly the last photo looks legit

Scott let me ax a question? On my power steering hoses, both pressure, and return, my originals are still good, but the print is almost gone, so what would be better a repo that you can read, or a unreadable original. I had the ends of the pressure line re plated.

Just took this tonight, it is an original from a 1970 Hemi Charger fuel pump, fuel pump dated L9 (November 1969)

If you are shooting for O.E. correct, the faded original would be "more correct" (IMO, results may vary depending on the judging body), also, you could lose points for pitting or a non original plating color etc. that is evident on your original parts, but I'd still lean towards that scenario as opposed to a reproduction.

I just like the thought of using as much of the original stuff as possible. Two rubber hoses that are still useable is kinda neat to me. Even the red clamps are still good.

Our 69 GTX still has its original power steering pressure line and the rubber is in great shape. The stamped lettering on it is very faded and almost not able to be read. The gold cad metal ends on it still has some of the plating left but we are going to send it out to have it replated since the plating is almost totally gone on one end and very little left on the other end. I, too, would love to find a way to get the yellow lettering back onto the rubber part of the hose though.

Bill, Restoration Specialties in In Windber PA?

Yes, they bought out / took over all aspects of QQE

another one you may try is

He is not just mustang stuff.
As an FYI, He supplies Frank Badalson / Roger Gibson with his hose

That Dead Nuts guy makes some incredible pieces. He's not afraid to charge for them either.

Brake Booster Hose writeup from his site

The Story Behind the Hose

After discovering Marti Autoworks and other Mustang parts supplier didn't make this hose I checked with Ed Meyer. Ed told me the Mopar guys did a poor reproduction of this hose but it was all that was available. I ordered one for my car anyway then compared it to some of my originals. The reproductions ink color was wrong, the font type was way off, the date code wasn’t smaller than the rest of the type and the printing method was modern. I then decided to reproduce the hose to my standards. After a year of work I’m finally happy with the results. The yellow ink color was custom mixed to get it just right. Each letter needed to be custom made to match originals since the font they used on the originals is not available. The date codes are a smaller size so they also had to be made one letter at time. Modern rubber hose printing equipment failed to get the right look so I custom made a hose printer and process that replicated the manufactures original process. I ended up with brake booster hose that looks Dead Nuts On to me.
