Getting ready to tie my front cage bars to the front of the vehicle. What size tubing am I suppose to use? It will be Mild Steel.Would you tie to the frame rail or build a pad and keep it inside the fender wheel? thx matt

Most everybody uses 1 5/8.
I have not been able to find any requirement for these bars in any of the 25 series SFI specs. It really is not part of the roll cage, technically. The reason I have always thought this bar was a great addition is to tie your chassis to you roll cage. It also helps keep the cage in front of you during an accident.
My personal opinion any car that has had the front fender pans removed should have these bars. They should also tie to the shock towers.
