Does anybody make new heater/air controls for 80's model trucks? I am in need a new one for my daughter's 88 D100, but they were all gone at the pick-a-part. This is the third one that has locked up, the buttons won't push in , so you can select heat, air, etc.
1957 Dodge truck, Snakeskin Green with a little stroker motor. 1964 Plymouth Savoy wagon ( my new project)

I have had good luck buying new from NAPA. With used you just never know how long it will last....

I've been looking and I don't see where anybody is making new pushbutton switches. Which I find odd because they are nearly identical for a multitude of 80's and 90's vehicles.

Yeah I saw that, but how did you get there? Granted I didn't search ignition components but who would?

You're saying they're interchangeable despite the listing? The older one sure looks like hers, as near as I can recall right now.

I know they are nearly identical for a multitude of vehicles. Some where along the line the vent button I think changed to floor and defrost mix IIRC and the A/C button shape was changed to allow it to be pulled out to turn off the compressor to make it a vent switch. I don't know how that will affect it but I'd bet it would work.

Yeah, no listing for a 92 but I'd buy one if I needed it. I wouldn't trust any of those links without being able to see the part and I sure ain't going to pay $300 for a pushbutton switch.

Well, this went well...not... Wife went by the dealer, dealer got on partsvoice, I guess, and found two left in the system so she ordered it, $325.38 + tax. I found one online at an obsolete parts place for $49.99 + $5.00 shipping so I'll have two of them... Even averaging the two it's still pretty steep, sigh...at least I'll have a spare.  Robert

OK, thinking back I think the vent button became a bi/level button, dash and floor. But my 92 is not set up that way.
