After spending over $400 on junk Kung Fu repo mirrors, I don't know who I'd trust. Try B/E&A. I have found that either the mount screw head is to big, or the whole is to small.Kung Fu quality.

So is that the only complaint is with the screw size? How about the rest of it? Decent fit, same size? Stiff glass movement?

These are remote mirrors, and actually there is no way that they can be adjusted with the adjuster to where you can see at the angle you want. As far as the screw size goes, for over $400 dollars, the should be just right.

I suggested BE&A cause they have a good reputation from what everybody says, and if you're not satisfied, I guess they would take them back.

I am pretty sure they are all being made at the same place or with the same tooling cause looking at BE & A mirrors years ago compared Snobars mirrors they were what appeared to be the same casting IMO. I hear alot of problems with the cables not working properly and the passenger side glass becoming loose. I think Van's is using different tooling but the 71-2 71-4 E-body mirrors looked like plastic chrome and had thick edges unlike originals...Buy originals if you can...

I think year one was having issues with the mirrors as they were down to $59 a piece with-in the last 6-7 months, they did the driver's side then the passenger side.......

That's a negative, Snowbar has his own mirrors.

****CORRECTION*******
BOUGHT MINE AT HERB'S when I was at E-Town this past summer, came home with the passenger side and they shipped me the driver's side for no extra cost!!

Bought mine from Van's at the cheapest price I ever saw.

They are marginal at best, had to fix the cable crimp into the lever twice the day I installed them. Yes the screw was too big had to use old originals.

Don't know who makes them for them????

when you can find a nos pair they are like a grand.

then find a good used pair, tear down, new glass and rechrome, your not far from the grand.

if they were for a chevy ,you would be able to get good quality at a good price.go figure

The Op can either spend $500+ for a repro set from BEAParts, or pony up for an NOS set on the Ebay right now for $895/buy now or make an offer...he who waits, often goes without

Herbs a great guy and has a better price for the same parts...If going aftermarket that is where I would spend my money...

But are those BEAParts? or Snobars, if they're SnoBars, I'd prefere BEAParts, I've had some of Snobars mirrors over the years, as well as Mike Ross's mirrors at BEA, the BEA are much better quality, casting and chrome wise,... you get what you pay for, cheaper isn't always better
