I do know about cruising down the highway but it didn't work.

It's -20 c here,my truck has idled quite a bit for the last 2 days,we do travel down the highway for a little ways before turning down oilfield roads where we can travel 50mph for most of the way, well tonight the overhead console flashed 80% full so i tried to maintain 50mph as much as possible and 60mph on highway but it jumped to 90% on overhead and DPF FULL reading on odometer area.

WTF now?

Call the dealer. All this new diesel emission crap is a nightmare! Go to a diesel truck website & read around - you may find out more than here. Maybe even better than calling a Dodge dealer, call a Cummins engine center - these guys deal with this stuff EVERY day! Actually, THAT would be my first course of action.

I have heard running it in a lower gear can help. You will likely need to work it to get it to start the regen. Drive it like you stole it!

Anything in the owners manual about it? Some of our big trucks have a button to force a re-gen, the ones that don't need the laptop hooked up to force one. If you don't have a re-gen button maybe there is a procedure for pushing a combo of buttons ie cruise or if it has a Diagnose function button. If not it's off to the dealer.

Idling is death on DPF's. If you are playing in the artic, Webasto diesel fired engine and cab heaters are worth their weight in gold. We did a wind turbine project a couple years ago at Diavek diamond mines. All kinds of trouble crossing the ice road at 25 MPH and it couldn't make enough heat to pull off a re-gen.

So sorry about your luck, drive it like you stole it? Wide open throttle in low gear? That sure can't help your mileage when fuel is almost 4 bucks a gallon.

Loving my brand new 3/4 ton gasoline pickup truck, it has plenty of power and get's near 19 MPG on the highway and don't stink.

Good luck with yours.
