I'm getting ready to order the tires for my 68 Road Runner. I've pretty much decided on a radial and looked between Coker and Diamondback. I like the Diamondback better mostly because I hate the mold lines that make the Coker tires look like patches. Anyway, when I look at the conversion charts to cross the original size F70-15 to P-metric it shows 215/70R15. Salesman at DB suggested the 225/70R15 saying that the tire being slightly larger would fill the wheelwell better. Tire height is about 3/4" taller. I'm running the factory steel 15x6 rims. Anyone out there have some pictures or input about the two different tire sizes?

I'm told that the 225 is a more correct look!

For once, I agree with the salesman. 225 is supposed to be the equivilent of the old G but the dimensions of the tire actually fall between the F and the G. I have never seen any clearance issues and I agree, they look a lot better.

Thanks for the input. I went with the 225 size.
