340 Resto Block Issues - Engine Mounts - Help! #1531690

I have my 340 Resto block all built and ready to drop in the Duster, just went to bolt on the original 340 engine mounts and the drivers side cast engine mount ears are in a different location than my original block. Has anyone else had this issue? More importantly, any recommended fixes? I can't be the only one who's had this issue?

Looks like its wider,so maybe it uses the 318 mount??

Yea, 318's might work, weird, after all it is a "340 Resto Block" you'd think they'd at least get the easy stuff right...

What a PIA to delay my project for a "wrong" part. Anyone have a spare drivers 318 mount they want to unload?

I was thinking that the 318/340 mounts were the same and the 360 mounts were different.

Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

Ok, I knew there was a difference somewhere, been using a motor plate for a number of years now and the details have escaped me.

I had to go look at my truck that has a 318 and then the Dart that has a 340 to be sure.LOL

99% of the normal auto parts stores only carry one motor mount for small block Mopars and it for the 318's. At least in these parts any way…

It's the bracket not he rubber piece.

I recall it as the 360 bracket, I ran into the same deal with my R1 block that replaced my 340 block many years ago.
Wouldn't surprise me if MPs 340 resto block has other 360 features, like 360 rear main in my R1.
