On my old Ford I had a pair of NAPA tractor lights mounted under the rear bumper. They use a 4" sealed beam in a rubber houseing. I wired them to my backup light switch with relays.
I am truckless..

Here's what I did on the back of my 3500..I had a piece of flat stock welded to the underside of the trailer hitch and mounted two lights on it. Originally I had a set of cheap Cabela's brand halogen back up lights. I just replaced them with Rigid Industries SRM series flood lights. They are absolutely awesome. Aluminum housing, weatherpac connectors, very well made. Made in America as well. I wired them right into the back of the trailer wiring plug so they come on with the reverse lights.
