I'm putting the car to bed for the winter..... I keep it in my enclosed trailer and live in southern Ontario (cold!!!). Now, I have mostly ran M/t's and left them on the car aired down with no issues. I'm now running Hoosiers and I kind thought I once saw some get cracked over the winter.......... Has anyone experienced this? or is my senility kicking in early??

These tires only have 7 passes on them.......

I kept the current set of Hoosiers on the car last winter, but I bought a set of the short jack stands and lifted the rear about an inch of the ground (in the trailer) to keep them from flat spotting. No issues with cracking.

Heck I drive all summer on my 30 x 9 Hoosier radial slicks and drive it up to about November. Then get it back out usually in March. The rest of the winter it sits in the garage on the ground and I have not had any flat spots that I have ever noticed. I normally star my car and run it a bit about every 2 weeks in the winter. Ron

When I raced and live in Iowa, I would go to dollar general and buy two of the biggest cheapest rolls of a saran wrap type product and just wrap them up like a christmas present. Put them up over head of shop"cold" and always thought in the spring they were just like they were when I put them away.

I was always told not to let them sit on the ground in freezing temps. My car is on jack stands. They've always worked good the next year this way.
