I know this has been covered before, but I couldn't find the post that tells what parts are needed. I am looking to lower my 85 Ram 150 and am wondering what parts are needed? I also would like to add a front and rear sway bar after lowering the truck. Is there anyone that sells kits or what vehicles have sway bars that would work? I am also considering a newer rear axle with disk brakes and sure grip. I have the 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern, what needs to be done to get a 2007-2010 rear to fit and the brakes to function? How much wider is it?

I will be greatful for any and all help. Thank you.

What year of vans work? Do I use my existing spindles?

And on the rear, you swap it to on top of the spring, or just remove the little block, then use the car U-bolts and mounts?

Thank you

Block? No blocks came on 2wds. All depend how low you want to go. I didn't mention spindle so yes use yours. Mid 80s to at least 97 Van. Might be best for touch to do a search. KevinI did the van lca swap write up. If you plan to haul anything heavy in the bed you need to decide how low you want it.axle flip is axle on top of springs like a car hence new spring perched and car spring plates.that will drop the rear the thickness of the spring pack and axle tube plus the 1/2-1" for the spring perch so around 6-7"

You have to move the swaybar frame brackets forward on the frame

A buddy of mine used the van LCA's with a GM swaybar on his roundy round truck

340Shorty did a Dak R/T rear swaybar on his truck

Van LCA's I know for a fact 78-98 I haven't used them from anything newer

I don't recommend axle flipping without using Dak spindles along with the van LCA's

Moving the spring hangers up on the frame 4" will generally keep you level without staggering tire sizes

2" for the LCA
2" to correct factory rake

I did this on my old 87 LWB & it came out great
