How do I get the lock out of my 73 duster glove box door? want to take it apart so I can sand blast the door and paint it..

There's a rectangular hole at the top of the cylinder. You have to take a paper clip and depress the pins in the lock cylinder as you pull the knob out from the front, one notch at a time till it comes. Mark how it came out so that you can reverse the process when you are ready to reassemble. Be mindful of the return spring inside. IF you bungle that up, you get to go to the junk yard for a new body. DAMHIK!
