Here is a link to an NHRA survey, mainly about fuel classes and 1000' vs 1320, and TV coverage racing but it is an opportunity to have your voice heard.

Thanks for the link. I went in and did the survey. I would have liked to see a comment entry to voice my opinion on things.

I agree comments would have been nice but it is something.

About the only thing you can say is that a certain Las Vegas resident driving a Barracuda is too good of a racer and that we all need some sort of handicap when we line up next to him..

I got the e-mail to participate in this survey, but last time I visited an NHRA event, was Gator in the year 2000.
Wish I was going this winter.

Interesting as I was not invited and was able to participate...Hmmmmm..A conspiracy is a foot..Wonder if they have more "negative" responses than they want so shut it off??

I guess the fact that I am NHRA member and a Licensed NHRA driver doesn't qualify me to participate.

Got the "by invitation only" screen just now.
What kinds of questions were they asking?

all those that will make you feel as though you actually had some say in their decision making - and make you feel better.

The main focus was whether or not fuel cars should return to 1320 racing or stay at 100'. Questions about would you be more likely to attend or watch if they go back to 1320. Did the change make you more or less interested, how often do you attend what classes do you watch etc etc

They are just data mining. They've done these before and never published any results.

Or maybe they're looking at the shrinking car counts, empty spaces in the stands, and sponsors pulling out, and realizing they need to get the magic back (yeah, I know, optimistic). Those are valid questions (thanks for the info, Al). But it could be Crizila's right. Guess we'll wait & see. They should probably survey the fans too, if they really want opinions, and sift through those as needed.

it should have read, would you attend if the prices were not ridiculous and you get raped at ever corner when you do actually try to race or attend an event.

Got mine in an email.
There is a couple spots for "other", so you can type in a response about their prices or whatever.
Like what was already stated, most of the survey seems to center around the 1000ft racing

Great, another "We sincerely care what you think. Your call is important to us. It will be answered in the order received, blah."

If the results endorse what they already decided to do, they'll publish them.
If not, they won't.

Interesting, I got mine in an e mail a few days ago. I am NOT a NHRA member but I did have CREW credentials at Indy this year. To get those you have to fill out a couple of forms with personal info. I quess that qualified me. I did answer and add several comments on sportsman racing. It may not help but it sure cant hurt.
