Which thermostat and housing do I need to use with the Edelbrock 7577 air gap manifold for magnum heads?

There seems to be three different types of waternecks:
Early (up to '78 style), which is what I have
'78-'91 Pre-Magnum offset steel type
'92+ Magnum Tall type.

Since I'm using this in a Duster i'd like to avoid the tall type if I can since I think its ugly and it would likely make my radiator hose interfere with my air cleaner.

Thanks for any help.

I used the 78-91 style housing and thermostat in mine.

Not to hijack, but are you plumbing this to the premagnum water pump? I still am looking for a neat looking way to hook that straight bypass fitting to the old style pump.

yeah, i'm doing that...I was just planning on using the normal bypass hose...figured it would work no problem.

THere are 2 ways of doing it

1. cut down the brass fitting a bit so the hose can make the bend.

2. I just purchased the odler la style fitting and trimmed back the hose a bit a fit on no problem
