i have had a lot of trouble with noisy belts on my 97 dak. is that the reason you changed the belt in the first place? i've tried auto zone cheapes and higher priced ones from napa,finally put original belt back on to stop noise. i think my noise started after replacing water pump. have you changed any thing other than the belt?

I get my belts at the Mopar house. No noise. You could get a piece of heater hose, put one end up to your ear and move the other end around to the belt driven components on your engine. You'll find your noise. I'd try a good belt first, though.
