That my truck addiction has went to another level now

I'm just getting geared up for when I can't do anything with my real ones in the cold weather

Yeah my daughters room use to be the model room. a bit over 200 last I counted. There were truck parts also but had to clear it all out so she had a room. Going to get my nephew started on one next time he stays. Wish I had more dodge truck ones though

Thanks!

I found a CrewCab body & interior kit but that's something the girls can buy me for XMas
I need to concentrate my $$$ towards getting all my real trucks home & that kit is a couple hundred to buy & build

I bought a "MPC Dodge Truck Junkyard" with a couple rare partially assembled kits & three more partial Lil Red kits along with a bunch of parts from other hard to find kits for $28+8.50 shipping

I have 4 complete Lil Reds unassembled all for $20 or less each shipped to the door

My wife & girls went together & got this for my birthday

Don't you have the rollbar for that one?

Or did you sell it yet?

You can buy resin cowl hoods & shorty Sweptline beds for cheap but they want $125 for a cab & interior tub another $15-20 for a Lil Red kit for the rest

If you dually one the tires & wheels are $40
The Ford kit to dually the right way is $35-50

I used a GMC wrecker kit for this Lil Red Cab forward chassis & all wrecker chassis in the rear

Dually kit for $23 shipped

The CrewCab kit I saw was $85 at first then he sold one & about a month later he listed another for $125 + 18 shipping & sold it
Peed me off with the price hike
but sells the short bed for $20 & like 3-4 for shipping

You have to cut the Lil Red glass in 1/2 & a bunch of crap

If you want a LWB like the real trucks you & I have you have to spend $30 for the LWB chassis to cut up & $35-50 for the bed & another $20 for the tailgate,$20-30 for the tail lights

I caught a bunch of guys sleeping when I bought my JY one with less trucks & parts went for $75 or so a few days before I won mine

Just picked this and an IMC Little Red Wagon last night at auction. There were 3 custom mid 70s B vans that I should have went for, but it was choice lot, and I thought the guy who went to $20ea wasn't interested in them.

My bad, but these were $7.50, which is great for a cheapskate like myself.

It is already spoken for. I called a good friend while I was at the auction, and asked if he wanted me to bid on it for him. It is his for the $7.50.

Of all the times I've seen that box, I just noticed the box art is screwed up. Does the model match the box art mistake?

I was thinking maybe the mistake was the double front turn signals.

There is one in the grille, and another in the lower grille valance.

Yes it has the wheels from the 72-74 issue kits with lockouts

How many mistakes are there?

I was talking about how it has a '77-'78 grill but still has the '76-back parking lights below the grill.

I had a real truck (think it was a 77) that had both sets of turn signals, the ones in the grill and the ones in the valance under the grill. Maybe Dodge sent out some early trucks with both? I would have had that truck in about 82 or so, it was a 3/4 ton 4x4. Gene

I love showing these threads to my wife, and trying to convince her that she has it easy with me!

My wife has it easy with me
I moved all the model car stuff into one room
A bunch of my FSM collection that spans 60 years or so occupy the book shelves in my living room with the top shelves being filled with cans of vintage American Plastic Bricks
All the other rooms except for the wife's Zen room & the bathroom have Vintage & NOS car & truck parts stashed & stored in them
I have a room downstairs for my race track & diorama
