I am building an 83 w350 to use as a work truck for hauling and plowing. It is a 360 4speed with 4.10 gears. The engine is a 360 out of a plymouth fury st.regis police cruiser. It is .30 over with 9:1 compression the previous owner told me it had a mp purple cam he couldnt remember the specs but it is an rv cam slightly more agressive than stock. It currently has a stock 360 cast intake with a holley 600 on top. I am going to replace the intake gaskets and was wondering what intake I sould go with I have an Eddy LD340, stock 1970 340 cast intake, eddy proformer 318/360 or the stock 360 cast intake. I am mostly looking for torque for hauling and pushing snow. I also need to do some exhaust work how much would I gain with a set of headers? It currently has stock center dump manifolds with an H-pipe looks like 2.25" with some rotted out glasspacks dumped right behind the cab. The engine runs strong I am just looking to see if I can make any improvements while the truck is apart
thanks, Brian

A set of 93 era truck Magnum manifolds would be a nice addition. Flow better than the stock, and not as troublesome as headers.

I vote for the stock 360 intake although a good running TQ on top would make it even better.

I'd run the Eddy performer intake. The low end torque is awesome compared to a stock iron manifold. I have multiple gas trucks with that combination. I still have one truck with an iron manifold, it sucks compared to the other rigs with the Eddy 2176 (Performer) manifold. I can essentially dump the clutch at idle with no gas with the aluminum manifold trucks and they're rolling. The stock iron setups will die doing that. They require clutch slippage or rpm to roll.

Thanks for the replys I am leaning towards the performer it has ports big enough to run a mechanicle temp guage, no egr, and I guess any weight savings is good with a speedcast plow hanging on the front. Are the magnum manifolds that much better than the center dumps? I have heard the early magnums are best. I have a pile of center dumps but if the magnums are that much better I sure I could come up with some in the junkyard. I really like the 400 stroker idea it might eventualy get a 440 if I find a cheap cummins donor for my crewcab
