I went 1/8th mile racing twice but it didn`t hook any better than a 1.42 compared to my 1.36`s before but my tires have some miles on em and a few smart people seem to think I need better shocks than the Ranchos cos they were on full stiff and had to leave at 1500 rpms instead of the 2500-3000 from before. But, I did go 6.20 @ 111.17 mph in hot conditions compared to my old 6.22 @ 109.? in cool winter conditions so the potential`s there I`ve just lost interest at this point and my funds suck so done 4 a while.

Thanks, I'm in the same boat trying to get my small block to hook
I would ladder bar it but the class needs leaf springs so at this point I've got a set of standard length Calvert springs with home made caltracs to put on.

There was only about 2 inches of movement with the standard front end with90/10 shocks, 6 cylinder torsion bars which I could have messed around with to get more but had already purchased a magnamforce front end that's been sitting in my garrage.
I've set it up on my car and it has 4inches of rebound and about an inch of compression with 12in qa1's and springs which may be a little soft.

I'll be another year away before its back on the road. Got to finish puting on carbon fiber panels, doors then lexan windows. Mini tub rear end so can fit in 29.5 x 12's max size tyre for the class.
Take yor time with ya car Thumper it's half the fun

Been chasin et`s since the late 80`s and w/out the funds all things come to a stop............for now at least. Money is the BOTTOM LINE in this game and things aren`t what they used to be at least for me right here right now but it will change for the better. I`ve said it all along; money takes care of EVERYTHING.......if you have it and skills, you can do most things yourself if you don`t have the skills and plenty of cabbage you can pay someone who does. Soon baby soon................

Not sure but the 60 ft. was off and it was hot but went a bit faster so weight loss of 200+ lbs. kinda makes sense..............

Just venting my frustration I guess cos it used to be, "see it, want it buy it" and now it`s "see it want it can`t afford it" but like everything in life nothing stays the same. Peace!
