I got this project "naked" after being painted and so I didn't get to see anything taken apart and nothing was labeled or bagged.

Anyway, I have a back glass and a bag of rear trim clips and screws to install before installing the back glass. The problem is I don't see any holes to screw the trim clips into. The clips look almost identical to the front clips and screws which I installed no problems.

I took some pics, and am hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. At first I thought the painter might have bondoed over the trim clip holes, but I see no signs of bondo poking through the back side of the window sheet metal.

I climbed in the trunk and found the issue. Some of the holes have been bondoed over, some still have the screws in them and have been bondoed over And some have been welded up by whomever did the patch panels.

I guess nobody told me it was going to be easy...

Awesome, do be aware that when the glass is set it needs to be at a specific height

the trim won't fit if set too high

it will be loose if set too low
