Can someone tell me where to measure on these Strange coil over shocks?
Part# on shock is 1408 but there is no number in their catalog with this #, so I'm trying to get an accurate measurement so I can cross reference these shocks to a set of double adjustable ones.
What does collapsed length without bumper mean? Thanks guys I'm a Newbie.

I assume you have a set of used shocks... but they
come with a rubber bumper at the top of the shaft to
cushion it from bottoming out... if its still there
just measure the bumper and subtract that from the
compressed length.. you might be best to call Strange
and see what they say about that number

They are on the car and I really don't want to take them off. There is no rubber bumper on these coil overs.
Do you measure center of eyelit to center of eyelit? I'm so

Yes... eyelet to eyelet... yours might be old enough
that they didnt have the bumper.... but you really
need to take one off to measure it right(without
the spring on it)

Aren't the bodies all different sizes? Couldn't I get the collapsed measurement from bottom of eyelit to top of base of the shock? I'm just throwing this out there. This shock could be either the 2 tallest coil overs they make. Just not sure which one this is.

The number on the shock is a serial number not a part number.
Just measure from the top mounting hole to the bottom one then look in their catalog for the closes ones to that.
