OK, per research on here, I got the Hayden 2765 fan clutch through NAPA (261306) because of it's overall shorter height which I need to use with my aftermarket aluminum rad.

It seems to bolt up fine to the WP but the bolt pattern is not the same where the actual fan bolts to the mounting pads on the clutch.

Which fan do I need to get? The bolts on the original 5 blade are 3" and the 2765 is 3.25". I don't think elongating the holes would be a good idea due to balance issues. Sorry, no part # on the original fan that I can see.

Thanks for the input. Pics below for reference.

You must have an oddball fan, what's it off of?

I ran one of those clutches with the factory fan on my '66 Charger. Bolted right up. Didn't cool very well, though. Went to a solid fan in the end.

I really don't know what it's off of. The only discernible numbers on it are actually letters - H EOME D on the outside of the blade and what looks like 35 0E (maybe?) by where the blade is riveted to the center.

It looks like the MP viscous fan but I'm not sure.

Can anyone verify what the fan clutch bolt pattern is of a 5 blade fan?

Looks a lot like a Ford fan, and the letters instead of numbers makes me think that more.

It takes gasoline to interest me.

Could be? Again, I don't know. I did not install it myself, it came with the car.

Regardless, can anyone tell me what fan blade I need to get to make this work? Or at least verify how far apart their blade-to-clutch bolts are so I can look for what I need?

I can take it to a machine shop and have it accurately drilled but the $60-$100 that's going to cost seems like a waste if I can get the right blade.

I did not think this was going to turn into a hassle. Silly me.

Maybe go to the junkyard and get a Diplomat or 5th Avenue fan?

I believe that the MP viscous fan kit, at least in later years, was the stock fan from a Fifth Avenue.

Your fan is a Ford fan, as stated above.

Huh. I guess that's why it won't line up.

I'll check around for a 5th Ave. fan, can't be too hard to find one.

Thanks for the help gang.

Can anyone confirm the Fifth Ave./Diplomat fan blade (4140442) is the same as the viscous fan blade (4140063)? They look identical.

Neither of these are easy to find by themselves and I'd rather not buy the MP viscous fan package just to get the blade.

Thanks.

Just in case you have no other choice, you can get the viscous fan you need at NAPA.

They got me the clutch but they did not have the blade - it would have to be special ordered and could take two weeks to get.

It's been a few years ago, but I got one from NAPA. Took them one day to get it in.

FYI: The Hayden part number for an 18" clockwise rotation viscous fan is 3618. The 19" fan is 3619.

Just sayin'

anyone know if that 17" fan fits the Mopar Performance fan shroud #dcc2785434 sold by Summit and Jegs for a 26" big block rad? it states the fan opening is only 16"

The Hayden 3618 is the one I asked Napa to get! Guess there's not much call for one of these fans anymore. Summit actually has it for $35. The Derale fan mentioned above is pretty similar but is smaller (17") and $10 more.

I'm still checking around with some more local sources but no one seems to have it and if they can find it, its two weeks to get it.

None of the salvage yards/recyclers around here seem to have anything much older than 10 years.

I'll probably just order it from Summit and be done with it. What a PITA.

Well, looks like I have the issue solved. A local guy donated the proper fan blade I needed to my cause. (Thanks Chuck!) It was an OE part from a small block Mirada. 5 blade, approx. 20" across.

It bolts up to the Hayden 2765/Jag clutch no problem. I have 5/8" clearance between the face of the clutch and the rad. core.

Next issue is figuring out how a 22" shroud is going to work with this fan but I'll figure something out.

Thanks for the replies. Pics below.

Rmchrgr, what busing did you use on the end of the water pump?
I purchased the same hayden fan clutch and there was no bushing and its very sloppy/loose on the water pump shaft.
