With your mounts is the transmission in the stock location on a factory mount? If yes I have my doubts that it will clear th k member. Good luck. That is probably the pan I will use on my 63. I will modify the V8 k member before I install it.

Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

Put the 4 quart pan on, put in 6 quarts, add an accusump under the fender and forget about the bad roads.

Could the accusump be feed from the 3/8" hole next to the sending unit hole at the top rear of the block?

The problem with that Milodon pan is the measurement from the front of the pan to the front of the sump. It will hit the k member.

The Milidon pan is a no go!
But on a better note I unbolted the pan without loosening motor mounts or anything else for that matter and the 971 pan slid out like butter.
Now I plan on putting the stock 971 pan back in and a accusump as mentioned earlier.
The stock 971 is a P5007807AB I just need A 1/2" pickup P5249818.
Ill have to cut the existing pick up off to remove it.
I think the stock one will spin right on.
The accusump was an excellent suggestion as was the 66-69 pan.. Thanks

huh ???

The 971 pan is a 4 qt sump pan for a 73-74 B body and there is no 1/2" pickup made for that pan.

This pan, P5007807AB , is a deep sump pan ... according to the google search I just did ... just like the one your wife smashed .

NONE of the pans above is the 66-69 Hemi pan .

I realize the 971 is a 4 qt pan That is why Im using the accusump.
Actually not true. the deep 971 pan had a 1/2" pick up and the one I have listed will work for the 971 per MP.

Not a deep pan like my wife smashed.
Wow man It Really seems to bothers you my Wife has a Hemi Car.

NONE of the pans above is the 66-69 Hemi pan .

I was thanking Cab For his contribution.

The deep 971 is a modified 4qt 971 pan , moroso and/or milodon used to use stock pans and weld deep sumps onto them, make a pickup to fit it and sell them.

The numbers you put up is this modified pan, if you do a search on that number the pictures that are shown are these deep modified pans , same as what you smashed , the pickup number is for this deep modified pan.

The factory 971 pan is a 4 qt sump pan and there was never a 1/2" pickup tube for that pan.

Mike "cudaman1969" suggested cutting the damaged pan to the same depth as the Stock pan and use the aftermarket Pickup and mark and modifie as necessary with it in the car.

You can certainly do that
