When properly adjusted, mechanical clutch linkage leaves a gap between the TO bearing and the clutch fingers but it appears that hydraulic systems allow the bearing to spin all the time. Is this correct? If so, I'm wondering if TO bearings designed for hydraulic setups are different than mechanical.

The reason I ask is because I'm installing a B&B clutch and TO bearing to replace a diaphragm clutch in a factory hydraulic setup and wonder if the old style TO bearing will be damaged by spinning continuously.

I aksed about that at the dodge dealer and was told to make sure to use the TB that is for the hydro clutch fork.

same but different.

the 2 i have in hand are from a hydro system. so I cant compair them at the moment.

did the machine screws work out with the shifter? holding up to service or no drive time yet?

The screws worked perfectly, there's little/no stress on them.

The mechanical and hydraulic TO bearings appear to be identical except for the outside diameter...the one for the diaphragm clutch is smaller in diameter.

mine seemed to look smaller than I remember. so I asked at the dealer.

what size clutch disc are you running? does it have the bushing or pilot bearing?
