Could you get a 71 340 Cuda with power discs and 11" brakes in the rear?I thought the rears were 10"with discs?
Thanks for any replies.

According to the '71 dealer data book you thought correct.
All 1971 Barracuda models with front disc brakes used 10" rear brakes. 11" rears only with front drum brakes.

They did some crazy stuff in 71.Do you think it's possible?Would the proportioning valve work?

There are a number of '71 e-bodies with power disc front & 11" rear drums, including "axle package" 3.54/3.55/3.91/4.10 cars.

Maybe it is something Chrysler Corp. learned from the brakes on the '70 "TRANS AM" cars.

Do you have your b'cast sheet? What's shown under "AXLE"?

There was no BS in the car.It has power disc with 11" rear drums.Everything in the rear looks original, but a lot of things could have been changed in 42 years.Just wondering if could be factory.

My 70 challenger with 40k original miles had 10" front drums and 11" rear drums. Just a rusty 318 car when I bought it. Hard to believe someone took the time to swap the rear brakes. I even bought 10" rear pads and hardware never expecting them to be 11".
