I have this old dixco tac, and was wondering if anybody remembers witch wire goes to the coil and witch is ground. I am leaning towards the green as ground but, no clue really.
I have read about a few posts here but they seem to have several more wires today. This is just a two wire deal. Not even a light in it. Would look kinda neat in the old van. Thanx for the help.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Thanx for the link, but I don't think I will be following this advice. I Read this far and said to myself "What the heck" it says to use the green wire in the first sentence and then the red in the last sentence, on the coil +.

copied from the link.
Quote"
Run the green wire to the positive side of your coil, then cut the wire with diagonal pliers. Crimp an eye connector at the tip of the wire, using pliers. Remove the nut on the coil's positive terminal, plug the red wire onto the terminal and replace the nut."

I figured what the heck and just tried one at a time and nothing for either way. Si as usual I should have opened it up and this is what I found. Looks like I will need to do some soldering first.

new question does anybody remember where all three wires go?

Thanks John, That is what I was hoping to find here.
The tag says

Model 97
for 8 cyl. engines clip and tape one lead of the red resister. for 4 cyl engines also clip and tape one side of the blue resister.

So no soldering needed. Probably should tape it up though.
